On November 6, 2025, Germany’s Krankenhaus Nettetal officially announced that since the introduction of the SkyWalker® Orthopedic Surgical Robot in February 2024, the hospital has successfully completed 500 robot-assisted total knee arthroplasty (TKA) procedures, making it the European center with the highest SkyWalker® procedure volume.

The SkyWalker® system enables personalized preoperative planning based on each patient’s unique anatomical structure and performs precise osteotomies during surgery, ensuring optimal implant fit and stability. With minimal ligament manipulation and reduced impact on soft tissue, patients experience less postoperative pain and faster recovery. Clinical data indicate that SkyWalker®-assisted knee replacement can limit implant alignment error to ±0.5°, reduce operative time by approximately 50%, and decrease blood loss by more than 30%.
Hospital General Manager Jörg Schneider stated that the introduction of the SkyWalker® robot represents not only a technological innovation but also a strategic investment for the hospital, ensuring it remains at the forefront of competitive healthcare while delivering world-class patient care.

Dr. Marcel Haversath, Head of the Hospital’s Joint Replacement Center, emphasized: “This technology significantly enhances patient outcomes and fully meets our high standards and expectations.”
To date, the SkyWalker® system has received market approval in 15 countries and regions, including NMPA , FDA , CE , and has been commercially implemented at scale in China, the USA, Germany, the UK, Italy, Spain, Brazil, India, and other countries, greatly promoting the standardization and intelligent development of global orthopedic care.
