MicroPort® MedBot® attends the 16th Annual Conference of Chinese Hospital

Changsha, China - On July 29, 2022, the 16th Annual Conference of Chinese Hospital CEO was held in Changsha, and Shanghai MicroPort MedBot (Group) Co., Ltd. (MicroPort® MedBot®), the world’s leading medical robotics company, attended the conference. Hundreds of distinguished guests and thousands of hospital administrators attended this large-scale, high-profile top event. As an authoritative conference in the field of hospital management in China, the Annual Conference of Chinese Hospital CEO, hosted by the Chinese Hospital CEO magazine and h-ceo.com, provides a comprehensive platform for the management staff of the second and third-level medical institutions, health care reform experts and famous figures in the industry throughout the country to share and communicate.

 

A number of intelligent surgical robotic products of MicroPort® MedBot®, namely Toumai® Laparoscopic Surgery Robot, Honghu Orthopedic Surgery Robot and Mona Lisa Robotic Prostate Puncture System (Mona Lisa) made their presence at the grand event. During the event, a continuous stream of visitors came to the booth, leading to hundreds of consultations and negotiations, and about 80 experts conducted on-site test drives. The MicroPort® MedBot® team introduced to the attending experts the dual console function of Toumai® that enables 5G ultra-remote operation. In June this year, Toumai® successfully completed two ultra-remote 5G robotic urologic surgical procedures that spanned nearly 5,000 kilometers across China through a 5G connection between the People’s Hospital of Kizilsu Kirghiz Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and Jiangsu Province Hospital. These two surgeries, based on the Toumai® 5G technology to connect the east and west across the nation, were performed by Chinese surgeons using the self-developed 5G communication technology combined with the self-developed four-armed Toumai® Laparoscopic Surgery Robot with fully independent intellectual property rights, and are by far the world’s longest distance 5G robotic surgeries.

 

Experts and leaders from all over the country visited the booth to observe the product demonstration, get informed of the technical advantages, experience the operational performance, and highly acclaimed the robotics. Many participating experts expressed that as the innovator and leader of self-developed surgical robots, MicroPort® MedBot® should accelerate the entry of these technologies and products into hospitals, provide clinicians with more opportunities to learn about and experience them, in an effort to step up the cooperation between medical institutions and the industry to jointly develop more intelligent surgical solutions for clinical diagnosis & treatment while continuously benefiting patients.
