Toumai® Surgical Robotic System Surpasses 300 Global Commercial Orders

[Shanghai, China]– June 16, 2026 — MicroPort® MedBot™ announced that global commercial orders for the Toumai® surgical robotic system have surpassed 300 units, reflecting continued international adoption of the company's robotic-assisted surgical platform. More than one-third of these orders were secured during the first half of 2026.

 

 

 

 

Toumai® has now obtained market access in more than 100 countries and regions and has been commercially installed in over 60 countries and regions across Asia, Europe, Latin America, Oceania, the Middle East, and Africa.

 

The system has been adopted by an expanding network of leading healthcare institutions worldwide. In China, installations include Ruijin Hospital, Chinese PLA General Hospital, West China Hospital, Zhongshan Hospital, Xinhua Hospital, Xinjiang People's Hospital, the Fourth Hospital of Hebei Medical University, and Gansu Provincial People's Hospital. Internationally, Toumai® has been introduced into clinical practice at institutions including Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, AZORG Hospital in Belgium, Fondazione Policlinico Universitario Agostino Gemelli IRCCS in Italy, Hospital Italiano de Buenos Aires in Argentina, Hospital Mãe de Deus in Brazil, and hospitals within the Oncorad Group and Akdital Group in Morocco.

 

The Toumai® surgical robotic system has also received regulatory approval for telesurgical applications in nearly 20 countries and regions and has supported remote robotic procedures across almost 30 countries and regions. During the first half of 2026, surgeons in China, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Thailand, and India performed telesurgical procedures using the Toumai® system, including ultra-long-distance operations spanning up to 18,900 kilometres.

 

 

 

 

To support growing global demand, MicroPort® MedBot™ has established an integrated manufacturing and supply chain platform with an annual production capacity of up to 500 robotic systems.
